This is a tribute to my beautiful baby girl, Regan, who was born on 28/05/04 at The Princess Royal in Glasgow and passed away two and a half hours after birth. She fell asleep in my arms.
Regan was diagnosed with a birth defect called a C-cam at a routine 22 week scan. This meant that one of her tiny lungs was filled with cysts and was never going to function. It also meant that the cysts were pushing her heart over to the wrong side of her body and was causing heart failure. The doctors told me that to carry on with the pregnancy, Regan would have died in utero so we decided that it was best to deliver her and let me spend some precious time with her, alive.
I gave birth to the most beautiful, tiny baby that I'd ever seen and was so glad that I got the chance to spend some time with her and tell her how much I loved her. She was so perfect in every way. Never a day goes by that I dont think of her and shed a wee tear for my baby girl.
She was buried beside my mum and dad and I know that they both will be looking after her for me.
God rest your wee soul my angel and may you be safe in heaven with your Gran and Papa and big sister Chelsea. I love and miss you Regan and I will never forget you my sweet precious child. Your in mummy's dreams every night
